The ARS opens a “Testodrome” to improve access to covid-19 screening

Faced with the rapid spread of the Omicron variant, the use of screening is now at record highs, with nearly 47,000 COVID tests carried out last week, compared to 30,000 the previous week.

In order to improve accessibility to the screening offer, a new test site will be installed this weekend.

The existing screening offer on the territory in collaboration with private laboratories and pharmacies will be strengthened with the progressive establishment of ephemeral centres.

The ARS is opening a “TESTODROME” this Friday in collaboration with the Saint-Paul clinic and the civil protection association. This center will be located on the site of the Sainte-Marie clinic in Schoelcher.

This ephemeral screening center will be open at least until February 10, 2022.

Screening will be possible on this site every day from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. The vaccination center located in the same entity will continue to welcome the public every morning from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
